The Les Timbes Beach group has the pristine beach label. The objective of this award is to highlight the natural and unaltered values that some of our beaches still keep up, and it is promoted by Ecologistes en Acció de Catalunya.
The Platjola is the only beach on the Alcanar coast suitable for dogs. We know that pet-loving swimmers usually have difficulties finding a beach that allows them to enjoy their pets; this is why we have prepared La Platjola to be used for tourists with dogs.
Its environmental and ecological value is high, and this is why it enjoys the pristine beach label. The fact of not suffering urban pressure and getting away from the population centres has preserved its natural values. Do not forget to respect the environment and keep it clean.
Les Timbes are a group of small quiet coves that stretch from the beach of L’Estanyet to the beach of Sòl de Riu. The coves are accessible through stairs or through the rocks. They are small stone coves backed up by reddish cliffs that contrast with the turquoise shades of the Mediterranean.
